ratblab asked: Hello Vanessa, this is beautiful photography and you have a real sense for texture. The crack in the blue asphalt is one of my favourites... In one of your posts you mention that you only use a 50mm lens. I'm wondering how you managed to shoot that elephant eye without a zoom. How close did you get or did you blow up the details of a larger framed picture? Alex
Hi, Alex! That is so kind of you to say… Thank you!
As for the elephant photo, I took that photo with a Fuji FinePix S4000, which is essentially a point and shoot on steroids, with 14MP and a 30x optical zoom. I didn’t need to crop it at all.
Thanks again! ♥
But I haven’t been able to process any photos for the last month due to a severe and recurring case of RSI.
With a lot of rest, it’s slowly improving, but posts might still be a bit slow for a while.
Thanks for sticking around! x
